Southern California is the shopping mecca for the discerning tourist. If you're visiting the area you can find everything from car dealer supply stores specializing on old muscle cars to upscale boutiques filled with expensive hand made jewelry. While there are plenty of shopping hot spots around Ontario, California, there's really only one place you would consider going shopping if you didn't want to leave town: Ontario Mills. There are 150+ shops and services in the Ontario Mills mall, so many that they've had to divide the mall up into "neighborhoods" to keep things organized. You might find yourself shopping for nursery supply items in Gymboree, picking out a new skateboard deck at the Inland Board Shop, buying some new work clothes at Nine West, or outfitting your home at Bed Bath & Beyond. Doing so at Ontario Mills will cost you less than it would at a normal mall because many of the stores are outlet stores.
You'll probably be there long enough to get hungry, so there are plenty of places to get food at Ontario Mills as well. If you're just in need of a snack you can get a pretzel or some ice cream perhaps, or if you're ready for a full meal you can the Rainforest Cafe or the La Salsa Mexican Grill just to name a few. If you're having any trouble with a cartoner at one of the stores, you can get help from the police station located inside the mall, and if you get bored, you can go to a movie.
Since a trip to Ontario Mills can eat up hours or days, the mall has a wide array of services to make sure that you are happy and looked after while you are there. There are baby changing stations in the women's washrooms if you need somewhere to change your baby's cloth diapers, as well as stroller and wheelchair rentals. There are free maps and iPhone apps so you won't get lost and free wifi for any family members who get bored of shopping easily. The mall also has valet parking, special walking hours, a lost and found, and a fax machine/copier.
If you want to visit, Ontario Mills mall is located at One Mills Circle, which is just off the San Bernardino Freeway on the way to Ontario International Airport. If you want to stop in on the way from picking up your automatic banding machine at the airport, you can get there by car or via public transit. The mall's hours are 10am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 8pm on Sunday. If you're coming in from out of town, there are shop and stay packages available from many Ontario hotels, including the Hyatt and Hampton Inn.
